What is Sassbook Artificial Intelligence Story Writer Generator?
Sassbook AI Story Writer is a SaaS (Software as a Service) that helps you create story (fiction) content rapidly.
The AI story writer is a specialized version of the our popular generic Sassbook AI Writer web application, dedicated to generating fictional content and stories.
To begin with you selected a genre for the story you have in mind. The default is "Original", which is very similar to how you would create stories with the generic AI Writer.
However, if you choose another one such as "Thriller", your completions will be following a style of prose appropriate for stories. Of course, generations will be a lot better if your own prompts are written in a style consistent with the chosen genre.
The web application takes your input prompt, and its state-of-the-art AI (Artificial Intelligence) engine completes it by automatically generating follow up sentences.
If you like the completion, you may just continue to create a new completion (without additional prompts), until you want to express your next notion. For this, you hit the Continue button.
Note that there are at least two completions (and up to six for commercial plans!), so there is a high chance that you will find a suitable snippet. If not, you can unselect the default-selected generation (just click on it to toggle) and generate again.
You can repeat this until the generations deviate from your thinking, at which point you enter a new prompt and so on. Of course, you might want to edit generated text to better align with your intended content, prior to further completions.
Controlling AI story generation
If you are a subscriber of one of the paid plans, you can control the following aspects of each generation (completion or continuation), similar to the generic AI Writer:
- Creativity: This relates to how the AI writes stories. More predictable or highly imaginative. Default is "balanced", which is a good starting point.
- Number of words: How many words are in the story snippet for each invocation of the AI. This determines how fast you are can generate your story content.
- Candidate generations: The free plan generates two candidates per invocation. With paid plans, as many as 6 candidate snippets are available for each invocation. Better and faster.
The settings can be independently persisted for the generic writer as well as for all specialized writers.
The premise of Sassbook AI Story Writer/Content Generator
In order to understand what Sassbook AI Story Writer is built to do, it might be helpful to understand what it does not attempt to do.
- Generate an entire story based on a single phrase
As you can probably imagine, such a story is highly unlikely to produce original, quality content that expresses your imagination in unique and interesting ways. Therefore, although this is certainly possible with our technology, the focus right now is to generate short snippets of text that helps generate quality fictional content in short iterations. - Copy content from elsewhere (via a web search, for example) and pretend it is generated "intelligently"
Sassbook, on the other hand, relies on what it has "learnt", in the Machine Learning sense of the word. Indeed, it has learnt from various sources of digital text, much of it from the Internet. It uses this learning to predict to generate fiction content based on various NLG (Natural Language Generation) techniques.
Sassbook has only seen a tiny fraction of the vast amount of fictional content, but it is continually learning. We are adding more genres and variations on a regular basis.
Power of automatic story generation
AI being what it is, it might generate text that does not match your expectations for a variety of reasons (chief being it cannot read your mind but solely relies on supplied prompts).
So, what are your options?
- Delete and regenerate text. This will most likely produce different completions/continuations
- Select a different creativity option. More predictable or more imaginative.
- Rephrase or enhance your prompt to enable the engine to align with your thinking more
