AI Text Summarizer API Metered (usage-based) Pricing
Pricing based on usage is per 1000 tokens (1KT), a token being similar to a word (or piece of a word). A page of text is approximately 625 tokens.
Token usage is counted based on both inpu, original text and the summary text generated by the AI API.
Each text summarizer API call is charged at least 50 tokens.
In the table below, pricing tiers are based on millions of tokens (MT) per month.

Text Summarizer API Usage-based Pricing Examples
For a user with a Premium plan subscription, the $30 monthly credits allow you to process and summarize 1.5M tokens, which is approximately 2400 pages of text, using the abstractive summary method.
For an API-only user, the $25 one-time payment gives you the ability to summarize 1.25M tokens, which is approximately 2000 pages of text, using the abstractive summary method (or over 2600 pages using the extractive summary method).
Beyond the first 10 MT monthly usage, price per KT gets lower for subsequent usage as shown in the table above.
